Assorted O-rings

When a seal has to work every time—under pressure, heat, chemicals, or constant cycling—the right O-ring material matters. Plastics Fabricating & Machining supplies durable O-rings in high-demand materials like Kalrez® (FFKM), Viton® (FKM), Buna-N (NBR), and EPDM, helping customers get the best balance of compatibility, lifespan, and cost.

Whether you need standard sizes for maintenance or specialty materials for harsh chemical service, we can help you match the correct compound and get it delivered fast.

What Are O-Rings?

O-rings are circular sealing rings used to prevent leaks between two mating surfaces. They’re used in both static seals (no movement) and dynamic seals (movement, vibration, cycling) across nearly every industry—because they’re simple, effective, and versatile when chosen correctly.

Common O-Ring Applications

We supply O-rings used in:

  • Pumps and pump housings
  • Valves and valve stems
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Flanges and fittings
  • Heat exchangers and process skids
  • Tanks, manifolds, and chemical transfer equipment
  • OEM components and maintenance kits

Sizes, Standards & Availability

We can support:

  • Standard O-ring sizes (common industrial sizing)
  • Material upgrades for longer life in tough environments
  • O-rings for maintenance shutdowns and recurring programs
  • Small-quantity orders and repeat production needs

If you have a part number, size callout, or kit list, send it over—we’ll quote quickly.

What We Need to Quote Fast

Any of the following helps:

  • O-ring size (ID x CS) or standard size reference
  • Material requirement (Kalrez / Viton / Buna / EPDM)
  • Quantity needed
  • Service details (media/chemical, temperature, pressure)
  • Application type: static vs. dynamic

If you don’t have sizing, a clear photo plus the groove dimensions (or the old O-ring) can help.

O-Ring Materials We Supply (and When to Use Them)

Kalrez® (FFKM)

Premium performance for the harshest environments.

  • Exceptional chemical resistance
  • Excellent high-temperature capability
  • Ideal for aggressive chemical processing and critical sealing points
  • Often selected when downtime is expensive and failures aren’t acceptable

Viton® (FKM)

High-performance option for many industrial fluids and elevated temperatures.

  • Strong resistance to many oils, fuels, and chemicals
  • Good high-temperature performance
  • Common choice in process industries and demanding maintenance applications

Buna-N (NBR)

Reliable, cost-effective, and widely used.

  • Great for many oils and hydraulic fluids
  • Popular for general industrial sealing
  • Often used when chemical exposure is limited and cost control matters

EPDM

Excellent for water/steam and outdoor exposure (when compatible).

  • Strong resistance to water, steam, and weathering
  • Often used in water-related systems and some chemical applications
  • Not ideal for many petroleum-based oils/fuels (we can guide you)

Not sure which material you need? Tell us what you’re sealing (fluid/media), your temperature range, and whether it’s a static or dynamic seal—we’ll recommend the best match.

Why Plastics Fabricating & Machining

Frequently Asked Questions

Kalrez (FFKM) is a premium material for extreme chemical and high-temperature environments. Viton (FKM) is a high-performance choice for many industrial fluids and elevated temperatures, usually at a lower cost than Kalrez.

Yes. Tell us the media/chemical, temperature range, pressure, and whether the seal is static or dynamic.

We can supply many standard sizes and can often source specialty materials quickly depending on size and compound.

If possible, send the old O-ring or provide the groove dimensions (diameter and cross-section). Photos help too.
