When a process line can’t afford leaks—chemicals, steam, solvents, or aggressive media—Garlock® GYLON® is one of the most trusted high-performance sealing materials in industry. At Plastics Fabricating & Machining, we supply GYLON sheet and precision-cut gaskets to match your flange, bolt pattern, and service conditions—fast.

Whether you need a single nozzle gasket or production quantities for maintenance shutdowns, we’ll help you select the right grade and get it made correctly the first time.

What is GYLON?

GYLON is a family of modified PTFE gasket materials engineered for improved sealability, reduced creep, and long-term performance in demanding service. It’s widely used as an upgrade from traditional PTFE, rubber, and many compressed fiber materials—especially where chemical resistance and reliability matter.

Common Applications

We regularly cut and supply GYLON gaskets for:

  • Pipe flanges (ASME/ANSI patterns)
  • Nozzles & manways
  • Heat exchangers
  • Pumps, valves, and process skids
  • Tank connections and chemical transfer lines

Industries We Support

  • Chemical processing
  • Water & wastewater / industrial treatment
  • Power generation
  • Oil & gas / refining
  • Food & beverage (where compatible and specified)
  • General industrial manufacturing

Sheet Supply + Precision-Cut Gaskets

We can provide:

  • GYLON sheet (full sheets or cut-to-size)

  • Custom-cut gaskets to match your drawing or sample

  • Standard flange gaskets (common bolt patterns)

  • Small-run or production quantities

To quote quickly, send any of the following:

  • A drawing (PDF/DXF), flange spec, or bolt circle dimensions

  • A photo with key measurements

  • A sample gasket (for duplication)

Frequently Asked Questions

GYLON is modified PTFE designed to improve sealability and reduce creep/relaxation, helping gaskets hold bolt load longer and reduce leak risk.

Yes—send a PDF/DXF or mail/drop off a sample gasket and we can match it.

We commonly supply the grades listed above. If a specific grade isn’t on-hand, we can often source it quickly depending on lead times.

Media/chemical, temperature, pressure, flange type (raised face/full face), and whether the line sees cycling or vibration.

GYLON Grades We Supply

We commonly support these GYLON materials (availability may vary):

  • GYLON® 3500 – General-purpose modified PTFE for chemical processing and broad compatibility

  • GYLON® 3510 – High sealability grade, often chosen for tough sealing applications and higher performance needs

  • GYLON® 3504 – Specialty modified PTFE grade used when specific service requirements call for it

  • GYLON® 3545 – Commonly selected for challenging chemical or thermal services where long-term sealing stability is key

  • GYLON® 3565 – Premium-grade option for demanding applications and tighter sealing requirements

Not sure which one you need? Send us the media, temperature, pressure, and flange type, and we’ll point you in the right direction.
